Poetry

Ipod

My teacher took my ipod.
She said they had a rule;
I couldn't bring it into class
or even to the school.

She said she would return it;
I'd have it back today.
But then she tried my headphones on
and gave a click on Play.

She looked a little startled,
but after just a while
she made sure we were occupied
and cracked a wicked smile.

Her body started swaying.
Her toes began to tap.
She soon was grooving in her seat
and rocking to the rap.

My teacher changed her mind.
She said it's now okay
to bring my iPod into class.
She takes it every single day.

A Poison Tree - a poem by William Blake

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I waterd it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole.
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see,
My foe outstretchd beneath the tree.

  • Alliteration - sunned it with smiles
  • Speaker - man
  • Imagery - " And I waterd it in fears, In the morning glad I see"
  • Repetition - I told, my wrath
  • Rhyme - " Night and morning with my tears:
    And I sunned it with smiles,
    And with soft deceitful wiles."

Writing

Writing:
Write an essay about how people are influenced by their environment. Discuss how both the formal education and the everyrday acquisition of life skills affect the person. Make sure your essay is well organized and of sufficient length.

There are many ways people are influenced by their environment. Like indoors and outdoors environment. In addition, the indoor would be the people who are educating and the outdoor will be people who are the everyday acquisition of life.

The formal education would be students who study indoor. For example, the kids have to go to school everyday to learn and when they grow up they want to become something important to their future. Moreover, they study for future, instead of wasting time in play out that doesn’t related to education. Also education is important to everyone, because without education there you can’t get good jobs, which wouldn’t pay you enough that will not be enough for your family. Another example would be when you study hard for your major to come alive, which you stick for couple year to get finish what ever you want to become. After all you get the job and you can make or buy any things you want because you have lot of money to buy it.

In addition, the everyday acquisition of life skills affects the person by many ways, for instead, like person who are working and they have finished their study, now they focusing on job, making money and in the vacation day having fun family, friend, act। They are also having fun by going to lot of beautiful place, which I called hard work brings success, because when you work hard you will become successful one day and will have lot of time and money to spend on all these beautiful things that you were dream to go to these places when you are little.

In conclusion, I things that both the formal education and the everyday acquisition of life skills affect the person by different ways, for example education have to do something about learning and become successful when we grow up. Moreover, the everyday life skills affect the person by doing works for live. For example, people who already grown up and have family, kids to take care off them. They have to work long hours to get some money. So, that they can buy foods and rent for their apartment.
